NEURO WELLNESS
FAQS

What makes this different from regular physical therapy? +
Traditional PT focuses on impairment-level treatment in a 1-on-1 setting. STRIVE Neuro Wellness offers a private wellness session and small-group classes for people who want structured, progressive exercise after or alongside formal therapy. It is built especially for stroke survivors, while also serving people with Parkinson's disease, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, vestibular disorders, orthopedic limitations, and general wellness goals. The focus is on building capacity, not just restoring function.
How do I know which service is right for my level? +
Each offering is labeled by format and fit — Cardio & Strength, Agility & Reaction, Modified Circuit, and Balance are group classes, while Strength & Conditioning is the private wellness session. During your assessment, a STRIVE therapist will review your diagnosis, balance, mobility, endurance, wheelchair needs if applicable, orthopedic considerations, and current capacity to place you in the right service.
What's the difference between the private wellness session and group classes? +
Strength & Conditioning is a private wellness session with individualized loading and progression for patients with or without neurological or orthopedic impairments. Every other visible offering is a scheduled group class with a consistent structure and session-to-session variation. Group classes require the one-time 30-minute assessment before participation.
Why are groups kept so small? +
Neurological and orthopedic training both require precision. Small groups (4–5 max) allow the therapist to monitor movement quality, provide appropriate cueing, and adjust loading or assistance in real time — things that simply aren't possible in large fitness classes. Every client gets meaningful attention in every session.
Do I need to be referred by a physician? +
Physician referral is not required to participate in Neuro Wellness or the private Strength & Conditioning wellness session. However, all group class participants complete a one-time 30-minute STRIVE assessment before joining to ensure appropriate placement and safety. Contact us to schedule your assessment.
When and where are group classes held? +
Group classes are currently held Thursdays and Saturdays at Shinkyokushin Karate Las Vegas, 7035 W Ann Rd Ste 120, Las Vegas, NV 89130. View on Google Maps.
How long do I have to use my class sessions? +
All package sessions must be used within 90 days. This keeps the program structured, consistent, and easier to progress safely.
